This year, Congress provided record funding of $118.6 million for the Historic Preservation Fund (HPF) to implement our nation’s historic preservation programs through states, tribes, and competitive grants for preservation projects. Unfortunately, the President’s recent budget proposes to cut the Historic Preservation Fund by two-thirds in Fiscal Year 2021. If enacted, these cuts would severely hamper the ability of states and tribes to fulfill their responsibilities under the National Historic Preservation Act and end several successful programs that save places that tell the diverse stories of our nation.
Join us now in urging Congress to reject cuts and instead fully fund the Historic Preservation Fund!
