Membership Levels

Preservation Partner Membership
Become a Preservation Partner at any level below by making a recurring monthly gift. You'll receive the benefits at that level. Plus, you'll be invited to special webinars with National Trust leadership and preservation experts.

$30 Preservationist Membership
Your gift at this level includes a subscription to Preservation magazine, plus discounts and special rates at historic places worldwide for one.

$50 Storyteller Membership
Join today at this level and all the benefits of the Preservationist Membership are extended to two adults and all children under 18 in the household.

$100 Advocate Membership
Join the National Trust at this level today and receive all of the benefits of the Storyteller Membership, plus two Guest Passes to any of our 27 National Trust Historic Sites.

Preservation Council

The Preservation Council is a select group of members who wish to play a more substantive role in the leadership of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

$250 Preservation Council Steward
Members at this level will receive all of the benefits of the Advocate Membership, plus two free gift memberships to share with family, friends, or colleagues.

$500 Preservation Council Guardian
Members at this level will receive all of the benefits of the Advocate Membership, plus three free gift memberships to share with family, friends, or colleagues. Members at this level also receive invitations to special webinars with National Trust leadership and preservation experts.

Leadership Giving

Leadership supporters join a passionate community of individuals dedicated to making our lives better and our communities stronger by saving the places that shape the American experience.

$1,000-$4,999 President’s Circle
As dedicated stewards of our past, President’s Circle members help protect and celebrate our nation’s treasures with annual gifts of $1,000 or more. In addition to the benefits from National Trust Membership, President’s Circle members receive invitations to special events, recognition in the National Trust annual report and at events, as well as: Insider communications with the latest news about National Trust programs and invitations to participate in webinars and educational presentations on National Trust projects

• Four Guest Passes to any of the 27 National Trust Historic Sites
• Four Complimentary National Trust Gift Memberships to share with family and friends

$5,000-$9,999 Chairman’s Circle
Chairman's Circle members demonstrate significant support for the National Trust’s extensive education and advocacy programs, technical services, and historic sites nationwide through annual unrestricted contributions of $5,000 or more. In addition to the full suite of benefits provided through our President’s Circle, Chairman’s Circle members also receive:

• Six Complimentary National Trust Gift Memberships to share with family and friends
• Discounted admission to any of the 27 National Trust Historic Sites, as well as discounts at selected Historic Hotels of America

$10,000 and Above National Trust Council

The National Trust Council is a dedicated community of donors who believe in the power of historic places to improve people’s lives, to create new opportunities, and to build a more perfect union. While Council members come from all walks of life, these generous leaders are united by their passion for preservation—not only to protect our past, but also to build a stronger, more resilient future. Members who give $100,000 or more are welcomed into our Cornerstone Society. In addition to the full suite of benefits provided through our Chairman’s Circle, National Trust Council members enjoy: 

• Invitations to travel with the National Trust where you’ll enjoy behind-the-scenes access and curated experiences at world-renowned museums, cultural sites, and private homes—all while building connections with fellow Council members. Each year, you’ll be invited to 1-2 trips to historic destinations across the United States.
• Opportunities to attend special events such as behind-the-scenes tours and other invitation-only gatherings.  
• Access to webinars, presentations, and virtual gatherings with executives, experts, and senior leaders from the National Trust.
