Tell the Full Story of America. Take the Pledge.
From the homes of icons such as Nina Simone and Pauli Murray, to civil rights sites such as the A.G. Gaston Motel and Clayborn Temple, places across the country speak to the history of Black Americans and their contributions to America.
Yet too often, the places associated with Black history have gone unrecognized for the important role they play in the fabric of American society.
The National Trust for Historic Preservation is working to fill this gap with our African American Cultural Heritage Action Fund. By saving these significant places, we aim to tell the full American story—which is now more critical than ever.
But we can’t do it without you. Sign the pledge to add your voice in support of protecting and restoring places where significant Black history happened.
