Stories of Impact

In the face of recent federal government actions causing confusion across many areas of public life, the National Trust for Historic Preservation continues our work to shape a regulatory, legislative, and policy agenda that facilitates preservation efforts to serve the public.

To help us with this ongoing work, we need examples of how these actions affect people and communities. The more specific the examples, the better we can advocate for preservation.

Examples include (but are not limited to):

  • Loss of access to key educational resources and expertise

  • Limited or no access to national parks, historic sites, or museums

  • Delays in adaptive reuse projects that preserve places and create housing or jobs

  • Distorting history at historic sites and landmarks
